The Board of P&I was established on 18 September 2012.

The first actions taken within one meeting and two conference calls were devoted to charting the Board's work, defining its role, and drafting a Work Plan.

The results are described in the Report 2013 which was presented to the General Assembly, July 13-14, 2013.

We thank the convener (a.i.) Heloisa Helena Martino for her leadership at the early stages of existence of the Board.

The Board of P&I was established for the following reasons:

  • The EFPA states a significant mismatch between societal needs and psychological offers in several problem areas, such as drug addiction, depression and suicide, traffic psychology etc.
  • The reorientation chosen by EFPA in 2010 places a strong emphasis on the need for prevention.
